NL Sport!! Among These 5, Who Will Be The Best Goalkeeper In 5 Years Time?

Hello fellow Naijaloadites, how has your day been? Well as for me mine was on the good side, but if you ask a Manchester United fan(s) how their day went, well!, I really don’t know the answer they will give you.

We are not here to talk about Manchester United though, I am here to ask a very simple question. Who will be the best goalkeeper in the next 5 years to come?

The list of the Keepers are (NOTE, this is in no particular order):

1. David De Gea

David Gea is currently the best keeper in the world of football. In five years time he will be 33, still a reasonable age for a goalkeeper. He may lose some of his reflexes and athleticism but in theory his command of his area can only get better with age. If he makes the move to a club that is winning trophies every year, that could be Manchester United, his stature will in the game will be elevated hugely.

2. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen

Ter Stegen may be back behind Manuel Neuer in the German pecking order, but his performances have exceed the Bayern keeper of late. He’ll only be 31 in five years time. In his prime years all his attributes will become more refined and if he continues with Barcelona his trophy cabinet will be full to the brim.

3. Jan Oblak

I think Jan Oblak will outgrow Atletico Madrid within the next five years. He’s already one of the best, a superb shot stopper, comfortable claiming crosses and an imposing figure. Oblak is the youngest on this list, he’ll only be 30 in five years.

4. Thibaut Courtois

Recently made a big money move to Real Madrid from Chelsea. Although the club have struggled of late, I’m sure Courtois will have one almost everything on offer with his club in the next five years. He has a silly error in his game, if he can remove these errors with experience, he may be the best in the world at the end of the time period.

5. Ederson Moraes

Ederson is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Manchester City and the Brazil national team. He is considered the world’s most expensive goalkeeper from a transfer value perspective by the CIES. He has kept for clubs like Ribeirão, Rio Ave, Benfica B, Benfica, and then moved to Manchester City in 2015 till date. He is a very young and sensitive keeper to watch out for.
