A suspected rapist and thief came within inches of death, recently, after being caught by the youth of Afaha Ube, Akwa Ibom state.
According to reports, the suspect is a member of a 10-man gang that specialized in raping women and stealing from them. It was gathered that the gang had been terrorizing the community for long.
At least, five women have so far been raped and robbed by the notorious gang. The suspect was beaten till he passed out and later rushed to the hospital by some policemen who came to rescue him.
