Starbucks Under Investigation After Woman Discovers Hidden Bathroom Camera

Coffee giant Starbucks is probably having the worst month of public relations nightmares in recent memory. New reports claim police are currently investigating the cafe franchise over a hidden bathroom camera discovered in one of its Atlanta-area stores.

According to reports, a woman found the hidden camera earlier in the week and informed the Starbucks manager.

A 25-year-old customer reportedly found the device Tuesday, taped under a baby changing station. According to a police report, the woman removed the camera and alerted the manager. The manager then notified Starbucks’ corporate office. (New York Post)

We were quite concerned to learn this and are grateful to our customers and partners who took action to involve local authorities,” a Starbucks spokesperson wrote in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We will continue to support them in any way we can.” (Newsweek)

This week, music mogul Russell Simmons has called out the coffee empire for its now-infamous arrest of two black men at a Philadelphia store.
