Duro was a hit. Pana was a monstrous hit. Diana was a banger. Rare became a rave but since then, every other songs have just been what they are, songs released without mass success. Not even a feature by Wizkid has been able to see Tekno replicate his earlier success.

Did he take too long to capitalise? Did he believe that he will maintain that prominence for ever? Should he have released his album much sooner because from all indications, expectations are not high from music lovers.

From an artiste that once boldly said after Davido and Wizkid, he is the next big thing in the industry. Fast forward to almost a year later and same cannot be said. Will Tekno ever reclaim that spot? A talented songwriter, music producer and singer no doubt but has Tekno overplayed his hands? Only time will tell.
