Pandemonium As Player Attacks Ball Boy For Celebrating Goal During Match (Photos)

A Brazilian footballer attacked a ball boy for celebrating after a goal was scored. This happened during the match between Operario and Comercial in the Sul-Matogrossense league. Comercial had just gone a goal ahead when Operario’s Jefferson Reis took issue with the way a ball boy celebrated.

And the cameras caught Reis punching the ball boy behind the net in the 48th minute of the match.

Inevitably, the violent scenes sparked a huge brawl between the two sides that involved chases across the pitch.

Eventually the referee managed to calm down the two teams and was able to issue a second yellow and then a red to a Comercial player.

It would not have been the worst day for the ball boy, who is thought to be a youth player for the hosts, as Comercial held out to win the game 1-0.
